The elevator bit offers precise control, particularly of the horse's balance. Its leverage action allows the horse to be straightened more quickly and efficiently, with a more subtle action from the rider's hand. It helps shift weight to the hindquarters and raise the withers. However, be careful not to have too harsh a hand.

Ideal for horses with a downhill and forward balance and/or who tend to lean heavily on the bit.

Avoid on horses that already carry their heads high or have sensitive mouths.

Bit Attachment:
- Make sure you have the special bridle cheeks suitable for the elevator bit.
- You can attach the reins directly to the ring of the cheeks or use a bit converter to reduce the intensity of the elevator bit's action. You can also use a four-rein setup.

Bit Adjustment:
- Ensure there is an equal space on each side of the bit in the horse's mouth to prevent rubbing.
- Avoid pinching by ensuring the bit does not squeeze the corners of the horse's lips.

Checking in Action:
- When you apply slight pressure on the reins, observe the horse's reaction. Movements should be fluid and without signs of discomfort.
